Hello mivecmick and welcome to the forum.

I'm not 100% sure but would guess this particular model may be made by Denix of Spain. They do produce an extensive range of revolvers, all non-firing, display only
I have seen dummy cartridges offered as display pieces to accompany some of these models but I'm afraid I don't know exact dimensions for these.
Unless someone here might help a search for Denix suppliers on-line may supply the information you need.

You may be interested to know that Marushin produce a fine example of this model gun in kit form. While more expensive certainly, quality of Marushin's models is superb.
Take a look at http://franckys-modelgun.com ... open links "Modelguns" then "Marushin"

Francky will be able to give you further detailed information

Hello,

About this Bat masterson model, I believe it's not a model gun ?? It's that it call "dummy" isn't it?? That's means it's like a real one but you have dummy cartridge without caps. I'm right or not??

"Dummy" are generally non-firing type replicas. Some, like many Denix examples cannot chamber or cycle any kind of cartridge
Others, Shoei MP44 or CAW Type 100 SMG "Dummy" replicas will cycle inert cartridges perfectly by hand. Several of Marushins' latest pistols are "Dummy" replicas also.

"Modelgun" usually refers to cap firing PFC or c.p. designs BUT it's not always the case.

If the Batt Masterson replica is indeed a Denix product, it will not be a cap firing Modelgun

Are you sure Cerwyn the Marushin Bat masterson works with caps??
Because on the Marushin website, I see in fonction case "dummy cartridge Revolver" and in cap powder "none".
Look here : http://www.marushin-kk.co.jp/itemmobatmasterson.html

It's maybe an error or something else.

To be honest I don't know if Marushin's Batt Masterson model is a Cap-firing type or not. If, however, Marushin's own website describes it as you say above, it's more than likely a Non-Firing "Dummy" type

If you're looking at Marushin's example, Francky can confirm its either a Dummy or a cap-firer. You can contact him by PM here or by e-mail through his sales site:

I guess you're right Momo'... I wasn't thinking ahead far enough.

How about contacting John at www.plugfirecapgunsuk.com , he may possibly have stocks of these Question I know he has several Colt SAA revolvers from different manufacturers that he can sell overseas.

The CAW Colt SAA is a particularly nice model, cap firing (with double cap cartridges available too) I bought one recently and really like it... good and loud, good muzzle flash too especially with double caps
Tanaka also make SAA Colts which are apparently very very good firing models

After looking at the hand grip, I think this is probably a Franklin mint replica - and I think someone on this forum said that Franklin Mint may have used old MGC molds.
Here's a link to one on Auction Arms.
http://www.auctionarms.com/search/displayitem.cfm?itemnum=9783791

Scroll down for many photos on this page.

If you Google "franklin mint bat masterton" you'll find a heap of links.

If it was made from MGC molds then maybe some sort of MGC cartridges may fit? JohnnV may have some.

Hello,

I have ask to Den trinity about the Marushin Bat Masterson model gun. They tell me it's ONLY a display gun, It is impossible to use caps in this gun.
I think the response is clear, for the eyes only Smile

I had a look at some Franklin Mint replicas at a local store - they all appear to me made out of a very light-weight alloy.
Nice to look at - but they feel like a toy - and even a cap would damage the metal by corrosion if not explosion!

As you say - for the eyes only!
Quel dommage - what a pity! 'Crying or Very sad'
