| Just checking if anyone has got a Marushin MP41 modelgun? How's the build quality and is it as good as the MGC 68 MP40? Is it a historic accurate piece of replica?
Cheers. | |

| I have a custom built Marushin MP41 which has the Marushin '41 wooden stock and trigger group but modified abs MP40 upper receiver, bolt, barrel etc. so can't give a full reply but if you're comparing MGC68 MP40 to Marushin's MP41 remember that MGC have steel receivers while Marushin used Zinc Alloy (Zamac) throughout. There are several excellent photos of Marushin's MP41 on http://modelguns-worldwide.com/mp41.htm which are well worth checking out. It certainly looks like a really nice replica. Both www.Modelguncollector.uk and www.Plugfirecapgunsuk.com have had them in stock at one time. It may be worth contacting them to ask their opinion too _________________ Cerwyn

| Does anyone have pictures of a good MP41 replica -
Not the Denix or MP40 converted ones - MP41 did not have a resting bar beneath the barrel, and there were other differences, too.
I am interested in buying one of the Marushin metal replicas - but would love to see a picture of one.
I found a deactivated one here, a dummy built on an original kit for $2600-00 - so, thinking of doing a replica instead. | |

| Thanks Cerwyn,
I found a few pics after posting this - that site is good, very well photographed and comprehensive - but definitely European prices.
I am just spoiled having assembled a collection in the US - the prices just do not compare.
A US member actually directed me to a Japanese auction - that may be the way to go.

| European prices can be high compared to some, especially these days!Japan's Yahoo Auction site can turn up some real bargains. Unfortunately most Japanese sellers won't ship outside Japan.Fortunately though, we have Japanese members that will readily help us out by bidding on our behalf and shipping I'm sure I saw 3 Marushin MP41s on that site over this weekend _________________ Cerwyn
