Main benefit is to remove the Detonator Pin Ring from the front of the Cylinder, allowing The use of more realistic Kokusai cartridges.
I was given this detailed conversion by a Film Industry Armourer who needed a realistic looking gun for close-up scenes being filmed. The model is ABS and retains its standard open Barrel with it's flat strip restrictor. Removing the Detonator Pin Ring has opened up the cylinders and combined with using Kokusai's cartridges gives better muzzle effects.
Before attempting this conversion, it would be adviseable to check the Laws wherever you are to ensure that modifying cylinders like this cannot be regarded by the Authorities as "manufacturng a weapon capable of firing live ammunition" in any shape or form

Pic 04 - Push out the centre unit. You will be happy to find that it's not even glued, just slides out with a little tapping from the front.

Pic 05 - The centre unit holds the metal detonator ring in place. With the unit gone this will simply fall out.

Pic 07 - The centre unit needed to have a little edge removed to allow the longer Kokusai cartridges to fit.

Pic 08 - The ejector also needed some filing to make it thinner along the pieces that the rim of the cartridge rests on. Just a tiny millimetre.

Pic 09 - The filing on Pic 08 is needed to be able to close the cylinder. The Kokusai rounds have thicker rims than the MGC's. All it took was some filing on the ejector though, no work needed on the actual cylinder
