Hi all, bought this off an airsoft forum as part of a package in which I got a very nice Luger that I will probably ask for assistance with later.

Worked fine a few times then the cylinder started to get stuck part way on the swing out whenever I try to reload it. Now it does it 9 times out of 10. The only way I can get it to reliably open is to insert a knife or a finger to depress the central pin bit at the centre of the cylinder.

I think this is an MGC model of the Smith & Wesson .357, anybody know how to fix this given I have very few/none of the usual tools you boffins have?

Hello and welcome to forum!

After firing a modelgun there is a lot of deposits from the cap on various parts. Unless it is cleaned often, this residue can build up and cause sticking/friction problems. This would be my first guess - you wrote that it happened gradually, pointing to residue buildup.

If a thorough cleaning does not help (or you already clean model after firing every few cylinders), please let us know.
