| As the title says: I am travelling from Paris to the Dordogne, then to the South. I collect mainly WW2 antiquities, but some older pieces interest me, too. Anyone live along that route, and can recommend any dealers, interesting stops?
I plan on doing all the fleamarkets, and brocantes, they have been good to me in the past, .
I have bought swords, uniforms and accessories in the UK, Eastern Europe and Canada, and had great luck. I even managed to import some antique firearms from the UK, with zero problems this end.
Just throwing it out there, feel free to PM or respond below.
Cheers,
Pit. | |

Anyway, about your request, unfortunately, I am not interested by ww2 objects, so I can't help you. Good holidays friend | |

| Hi Pitfighter, In Paris you don't have lot of Army Store collection. It's just for indication, I don't know what you really looking for. You have this one : +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ DOURSOUX3 passage alexandre - 75015 Paris FRANCE Tél. : 0143270097 Fax : 0143275168 Heures d'ouverture : du mardi au samedi de 10H à 19H. A little bit expensive but if you looking with attention you can find some really good pearl !! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Marché aux puces de st Ouen Porte de Cligancourthttp://www.tourisme93.com/document.php?pagendx=74It's a open market, where there is again 6 old Army surplus Shop. It's open only the week-end. But be careful, this neighborhood is a little bit hot. And please don't take your time and your money, gaming with some cards players over a cardboard in the street. This game "Bonto" is a scam, and all the players around are associated with the boss. they pretend to win, and win in front of you, but when it's your turn you always lose. And keep you hand in your pocket again pickpockets !!!!! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ After you've got some " Bourses aux Armes" (Weapons Exchange) in July/August anywhere in France Here the planning by date and regions : http://www.abcollection.com/fr/bourse/sommaire.php+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ After in the south, if you looking for military vehicle, you can ask to see " Les Domaines". Each regions get one. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ And if you stay in the south since 15th august be near those two city "The Rayol and Cavalaire" there is a lot of reconstitution of the " Provence Disembarkation". Tank, jeep, Halftrack run on the road with people wearing uniform of this period. Ask in your region about the program of this date. I hope you'll get more informations Best regard | |

| Thank you, so much Armalyte, that is exactly what I was looking for!
Perfect, I love France, but in the past I've always been rushing to get somewhere, or on a business trip, this is the first time I'll have an opportunity to look around, so I'm really looking forward to it.
Momo - no worries, I certainly intend to try a little wine for sure. I know my collecting habits are eccentric, that is - I believe - half the appeal, lol.
Thank you,
Pit in Paris.

| you are welcome !!!! If you have a precisions trip (city, date,etc.....) I can looking for you more interesting stops. Here the website of DOURSOUX : http://www.doursoux.com/It's a little part of the shop. If you trip in car, and get a real weapon (and a international export license of course), don't miss the open house at the French Army camp of Mailly. It's at the east of Paris. 3 days by month, it's the "Rendez-vous" of civilian French Snipers. The camp offer 300m, 600m, 1200m, and 2300m firing zone. It's free, but you must be in legal situation with your weapon. Best regard | |

| Hi everybody; About the Doursoux's Shop : it's one of the more expensive in France. Unfortunaltly, i can't give you interesting adresses, because i purchase on the net. But don't give up! This is the garage sale's season (Vide grenier=>attic cleaning). Every week, from march to september, everywhere in France. And you can check each town website before visiting. | |

| I'm sorry but I think you forgot the bread "la baguette" and the "2 chevaux" from Citroën. I have already speak about the wine so I believe we have all the clichés for France. | |
