| Post by Claymore I only know 2 places where you can get rounds and you probably know about them already. www.modelguns.co.uk www.modelguncollector.co.uk Where did you get the model from, if it was from modelguns.co.uk then he will sell you rounds and i am sure that if they are around he can get them but he only sells rounds if you bought the model from him. modelguncollector will sell rounds if you bought from them or not and say they say can obtain older rounds. Apart from that i dont know of anywhere you can get them, i have tried endoshiji before on spares but never got a reply and i cannot find any sites (in english) in japan where i could get spares, rounds or caps. | |

| Post by MarkHi Jay, I guess that i am not sure what you mean: - Quote :

I was under the impression that the MP40/Uzi cartridges where the same other than the older paper cap type cartridges. I think that the newer MP40/Uzi cartridges will work although they might look a little different. The older all zinc Marushin MP40's possibly might use the later magazines, but since i haven't checked myself, i can't say for sure. | |

| Post by jay851 it was purchased privately so modelguns.co.uk is a no no,and i have asked modelguncollector and they are looking into it but with no luck yet. when i got the gun it came with two types of cartridge,an older type that are near 10 mm in diameter that work with the gun,and some new 'untested' ones which are about 9mm in diameter and have a smaller diameter at the front to resemble the end of a bullet. these new ones will not work as they will not be held in the magazine lips due to them being smaller in diameter, and i am presuming these are the new style cartridge for the abs mp40.

| Post by Mark Hi Jay, the Marushin cartridges are 9.5mmx27mm. Jay, you can use https://www.photobucket.com/ register and then use the "browse" button to find the picture that you want and then, hit the "submit" After the picture(s) have up-loaded, at the pictures bottom, there will be: URL Tag Img You will need to "copy and paste" the Img file onto the reply area of the forums. _________________ Wanted to buy: MGC Sten MK3....trades?(still) MGC MP40 Marushin MP40 Nakata MP40 TRC MP40 Modelgun manufacturers, past and present:CMC,CAW,Hudson,HWS,LS,MGC(R.I.P. 1960's~2007) Marushin,Marui,Kokusai,Shoei,Tanaka and Western Arms | |

| Post by Mark Woh, you stumped me on those! They are certainly different, and i have never seen any cartridges like them before..They do however, have a MGC style HW piston and other MGC sourced parts like the "primer" The diameter really through me off and makes me think that these are custom cartridges.
I really have not seen these anywhere! Strange! Something obliviously limited production wise if they aren't custom. _________________ Wanted to buy: MGC Sten MK3....trades?(still)

| Post by Mark Jay, i am still stumped as to what manufacture/type those cartridges belong to. They look more and more like custom cartridges to me...or...Early MGC .38 super cartridges. Can you post pictures of the detonator? I am sure that you can convert your Marushin MP back to the Marushin MP40/Uzi cartridges. With the proper loading sequence and grease, they work just as well as any other cartridge type and will blow back the heavy zinc MP40 bolt with no problem. The Marushin MP40/Uzi standard cartridges are all that i use in my MGC MP40! _________________ Wanted to buy: MGC Sten MK3....trades?(still)

| Post by Mark Jay, i have read that Sten "type" magazines fit the zinc Marushin MP40's..Now, whatever Sten "type" magazines really means is questionable do they mean real Sten magazines? The Hudson Sten Or the rare MGC Sten magazines? The Magazines that the later ABS Marushin MP40 uses are the same size as real MP40 magazines. So, if the real Sten magazines are slightly larger than the real/late Marushin MP40....I will try to get the dimensions for you later.. _________________ Wanted to buy: MGC Sten MK3....trades?(still)
