Hi there,
I just finished my first WW2 production, which was a blast.
I finally got to actually rent out a lot of my collection, which was nice, my wife was actually approving at last.
I bought a bunch of Fiberglass resin MP40's, which we thought were pretty terrible, in fact, we ended up giving them to the reenactors as a thank you.
One of the producers who is a fan of such things and a spend-thrift decided we could find better and cheaper.
We found a guy in the US who makes hard rubber dummies, using a soft latex mold, the dummies are really awesome.
We had MP40's made up from an MGC replica - the quality and detail was really nice - they wound up being $150 each.
Is there any interest in these on this board?
We left them black and unpainted, of course you could paint them, too. The one in the below pic, hit the ground about a dozen times and has a few scars, but you get the idea.
They are solid hard-rubber with
no moving parts, so I can't imagine there is a shipping issue - although the UK may have one, lol.
These are not soft rubber stunt dummies - the consistency is similar to PVC, I guess.
Let me know the interest and maybe we'll have him do another batch up.
Pit.
*I took out one of the MGCs for the pic and realized it had gone rusty, cleaned it up again now, lol. FYI the tape is to stop the mags from being removed or the stock being unfolded on set.
