Hello all. As you can tell I'm newbie when it comes to model guns. I was wondering, would any xm stock fit my m655 or does it have to be a marushin one?

as far as i know the buffer tubes are mill spec size so any mil spec stock should fit ive seen a few with magpull ones etc

Yes the XM177E2 stock tube is pretty well milspec; actually very slightly less, but not a problem. I have a Magpul MOE stock on mine, converted to an AR15, and there is no significant wobble.
