Hi,
Any ideas if a real steel collapsable stock will fit the Marushin XM177E2 factory built model gun? i've just snapped the sling loop off mine and i've seen a real steel stock going cheap.
Thanks....Helfire

Hello!
If memory serves me right I read that a real steel stock won´t fit, as the diameter of the stock tube is different. But I am not sure where this information comes from. I´ll try to find out details.

Hi Markus,
Thanks for the help! i would appreciate it if you could find out for me.
Just found out that the real steel stock buffer tube is 30mm and the marushin is 27mm. So, that answers my question really
Thanks anyway....Helfir

It kinda annoys me when they make parts of modelguns different from real steel when there is no real reason to do it.
I agree that they have to make some of the internals different so that you cant use modelgun parts in real steel and vice versa, but what difference would it make if the other parts - like stocks - were interchangeable?
If you could easily fit new real steel stocks onto MGC/Marushin M16's it would allow many more custom modelguns to be created. Some of these parts look superb!

Hi allenb,
Yes, i agree with you, it's as if they make the parts just a shade smaller so they wont fit, i suppose i could put my buffer tube inside the real steel tube and TIG weld it or braze it.
