| Post by allenb Does anyone know where I can get my grubby hands on some cartridges for the MGC M76 SMG?
Francky is looking out for some for me but I could do with some pretty soon... Cheers | |

| Post by Mark Well, the MGC S&W M76 used either the open cartridges or the enclosed type (CP) if you bought Francky's M76, then you need the CP type. These cartridges are rare and they rarely show up for sale. The MGC M76 shares these cartridges with the Beretta M12S.
Good luck.. _________________ Wanted to buy: MGC Sten MK3....trades?(still)

| Post by Claymore Hey, Mark i have both cp and open style for my M76 but the rounds are smaller than the ones for my M12s so for my models they are different. Or are you saying the M12s will fit, as i never thought to try them. | |

| Post by Mark claymore, i have three boxes of the M76 cartridges and they have M76, M39,M59 on the boxes label.
I made a mistake and said that the M76 and the M12S cartridges are the same..They as you know, are much larger cartridges and so they really aren't worth trying to make them work in the M76... _________________ Wanted to buy: MGC Sten MK3....trades?(still)

| Post by kickback Hi Allenb, I purchased a mgc m76 from Francky that fired the open stye cartridges, but when i asked him about converting it to fire either cp or pfc style shells he advised not to do it as it will definately break the gun and told me to stick with the open end style. So my advise is to try and get some of these cartridges from either Francky or endoshji do sell them (9x24mm) at a price. Kickback | |

| Post by allenb OK thanks for the info guys.
As my M76 will be setup for CP style carts (which seem to be unavailable),what would I need to do to the gun to get it to work with the open style carts (available from endoshoji - thanks kickback)?? Is it modding the detonator or what??
Would like to shoot this one - but don't wanna break it!!
Cheers | |

| Post by Claymore You will be OK i should think with the CP style as long as you are not going to fire mag after mag, i think mark uses the Cp round in his and his is OK. For the open rounds you need a new detonater pin, it is sort of round at the end with a ridge around it (this acts as the seal) and nipple on the end which is what strikes the cap. These detonaters are made of very hard steel as they take a lot of punishment, they also get dirty very quick so you cant fire as many rounds as the Cp style. Again for this try Francky he is your best bet | |
