PostSubject: A beautiful story.   A beautiful story. Icon_minitimeWed Jan 23, 2013 2:43 pm

Hello all,

I post here because I have to tell you a very beautiful story. A story about one man who is so generous and so talented that I still not

believe it.
I will try to tell this story in a proper English but forgive me if this is not perfect, I will try my best.

So, intrigued by my story? Let's go! Smile

1 /"Previously in Desperate.." model gun world...

The story starts because I bought a very beautiful model gun. This one is full metal and quite rare now. This is a Marushin Automag Clint 1. Kindly, JohnnyV find one for me (without box and with only 3 cartridges) and despite a high price (JohnnyV Sad) ,quickly this item is mine. The model is in quite condition except a very little part of the bolt which is a little bit twisted, nothing serious...I thought.

2 /Drama.

After some try with caps, the drama comes : bolt breaks. Noooooooooo!!!!
Like you can see with this photo (P1) very big problem.

A beautiful story. IMG_3008_redimensionner

This part is the axis of the extractor(and is necessary for others things), so without it the gun is dead! Arrggg...
I thought to try with special glue but honestly, I knew it could not work....
So disappointed..

3 /The hope.

I spoke about my problem with our friend Cerwyn and he told me that someone could be help me. I had nothing to loose so I contact him.
I'm sure you wonder who is he? What is this mysterious man who can give me hope ??
Ok his name is...No not now. Smile Let me finish this part please.
Well, he told me he already fix some model gun but he really didn't know if it was possible...Not sure, no much hope...Sad
I didn't know well this guy (not yet) but my gun was dead so...Why not?

4 /Pending...

I sent him my complete bolt with marushin diagram, explanations how the model gun works(cycle) and finally all my last hope.
Meanwhile, very sad, I just wait.

5 /The miracle.

Then, one day, not so far, I received a mp on our dear forum and the message's title was :
-"Fixed"-
No, I can't believe it, I read this mp and I saw with photos the transformation of my new bolt.Look !!!

Amazing! Uncredible! Awesome!! THANK YOU 8ACE!!!!
What? Oh Oh ...Ok, you know now who is he Smile Smile 8ace.
This man, 8ace, can do the impossible! He can't be ENGLISH!!!He must be French !lol (Sorry an eternal rivalry between France and England).
Anyway, seriously, the job is really quite difficult to believe. There is not only the end of the bolt fixed, 8ace did a reinforcement side of the bolt to absorb shocks when the bolt moves.
Here is some photos about the fix :

I have now a new bolt stronger than before Smile
Yes, there is a little visual difference between the old and the new metal on the bolt but who cares?? Not me!
Little precision, he did the fix without the Clint frame, I just sent him a cart to try with it. But without the entire frame, difficult to do ajustment like that, "chapeau l'ami!"

6 /Testing.

When I receive the bolt, You can imagine how I feel, very happy but nervous to know if all will be ok.Once assembled, all was perfect but the real test will be in action Smile So, a cart and let's go!
Pull the bolt, the cart enter well(yes), pull again and the cart fly out very well (YEAHH!!).
That's it! My clint 1 is resurrected!

7 /"We are eternally grateful!".

Yes, it's true, eternally gratefull. How can I say otherwise?
The more incredible is to know that Martin (It's his real name Wink do this miracle.......for free Smile Smile Smile
Yes, only shipping fees to pay and that's all (I must admit that santa brought him a gift from France Wink ).
When I say it's a incredible story, it's true. But it's not the most amazing........

8 /The surprise.

Well, you wonder what can be more amazing?
You remember, I said that I have bought the Clint with only 3 carts and not 6...I'm sure you begin to know what is the future miracle Smile
And you're right !! 8ace asked me if he could try to make some spare cartridges. I said no of course, I didn't want he damage my dear carts lol
It's a joke, obviously I was agree. My 3 carts are quite used and not very "shiny" so one more times, why not?

9 /Definitely talent and genius.

With this title, you can guess the rest. One more time, 8ace used his talent du make new cartridge.

(Left : Original, right: the new one)

Don't ask me how he did it, I really don't know!!It's science fiction for me and I still wonder how this is possible.
Anyway, Magic Martin did it again and he makes not 1 cart but 5!My god!
This time, fortunately I paid him but I'm sure it was only the price for the material, his work was free again.
Useless to tell cartriges work perfectly with the Clint1, the ejection is perfect, the cart fly out far away, too easy...Smile
Now, I have a complete box for my Clint and all is here :

10 /What about this story?

First, I must pay tribute to Martin(8ace). I am eternally indebted to him. Now, each time I'll see my Automag, I will think about him Smile
Second, and I think it's the most important, I thank this forum. Yes, this passion about model gun brings not much people but so nice and so kind people. Each member want to help and I've never seen it elsewhere. For this, we can thank to our "MASTER" of all : Mr Cerwyn Jones

(Another Enlgish man!!Bad luck for me...lol).So thank to you Cerwyn Wink

Obviously, Thank you all the members and especially to those who had the courage to read this message entirely. Smile

I really know how you must feel! Martin has helped me a lot too. As I wrote in my HF M4A1 review he was able to repair my broken lower receiver too. He is just great. Enjoy your modelgun, mate.

Momocampo's happiness is obvious to all isn't it Questioncheers Magic Martin has helped me too over the years by repairing models I thought were lost forever. His skills and craftsmanship are really superb. I consider myself very fortunate to know him Very Happy

The Clint 1 Bolt repair is a work of art but the cartridges he's made are just Outstanding Very Happy

It's good to know that our Forum continues to bring like-minded people together allowing us all to enjoy this ModelgunHobby to the full. Long may it continue cheers

I am really happy to see Martin helped other people Smile I thought he did that because I am so kind!! Shocked
And it's not 50/50 but more 90/10 Smile
Anyway, also happy to see Cerwyn wrote a message, I was afraid he was upset because I wrote he is "an english" and not a Welshman Smile It's the same thing no?? (I'm kidding!!)
