Company founded by Mr Nakata, who served in Imperial Army in Manchuria as a gunsmith. After returning to Japan he could not work in his trade, so founded a company selling demobile.

For a short time (probably between 1970 and 1973, based on ads in "Gun") Nakata produced and sold modelguns designed by Minory Matsumoto (Shoei) and Noboru Mutobe. Some models were sold under Nakata brand, some were released under "TRC" brand (together with Marushin). After Nakata stopped, Marushin took over and sold remaining stock (as late as in 1977) still with Nakata markings.

A Jan. 1968 story on Tadao Nakata; this may very well be the first time replica guns are introduced in America: https://www.flickr.com/photos/pedal2metal/sets/72157655813855738
