| Would there be any interest in an M4 upper reciever and barrel made for the Marsuhin M16? I'm considering having some made, and wondering if anyone else would be interested. It would be along these lines, CNC machined. The idea would be as per below. Cost would be between 250 - 300 USD. Unfortunately nothing can be done about cost unless I spend 50000 dollars on some moulds. | |

| Looks great, care to share a few more pictures? What materials are you using and do you make all parts or buy them? Sweet work anyhow | |

| Looks great. I could be interested, depending on the answer to 2Sharp's questions. | |

| Am I right in thinking that the picture is an existing Marushin/MGC upper and that it is there just as a visual interpretation of what you are hoping to replicate? | |

| Sorry, in the post I said 'along these lines' so yes it is an interpretation of what I would like to create, it would be made from an aluminum alloy powder coated black.
I'm currently having a batch of M16A1 and A2's machined from scratch, so I should have some pictures of the manufacturing process and then a review of the quality up in the next 2 months. Just gauging if their is any interest in a railed upper.
These parts are being made in a factory to my specifications (I may of had a a little reverse engineering done to make a product to suit my countries laws)
Would you rather an upper and barrel that you drop your Marushin's parts into, or a complete upper (it will cost more as a complete upper)

| Sorry to be so long replying. I missed your latest post. A barrel and upper receiver would suit me. I have the inner components already.
Thanks,

| I'm aware this thread is 11 years old, but if anyone would be able to do this I'd gladly buy it. I love the M16 but I'd much prefer to have a flat top upper than a fixed carry handle. I also prefer 14.5"-16" barrels. I'm unable to buy now, but if anyone could at least consider doing this in the future it'd be greatly appreciated. | |

| I have seen some modifications over the years, cutting the carry handle off and adding a rail. The easiest thing to do is cutting the carry handle off and add a top rail. Skilled people should be able to do so. The problem is that there are many other differences between A1 and A2 / M4A1 versions, regarding lower and upper receiver. The A2 / M4A1 lower is reinforced in some spots, making it slightly beefier. The upper receiver has the case deflector added as most significant upgrade. Normally no real receivers or Airsoft parts can be used as dimensions slightly differ. A very skilled person with the proper NC/CNC tooling should be able to machine a complete lower. But that will mean a lot of work and costs.
