| Post by heidi I just got this for my husband and it came with a box of Cal .45 SMG/BLK MGC Patent Blowback Cartridges but no caps. The person I bought it from promised to sell me these items but has not responded to my email. Today, I tried to get some caps and cartridges from modelguns.uk but they wrote back saying they are short on supply and only selling to folks that have purchased model gun from them. I am not even sure which caps to buy, can someone please help me by telling me what type of caps and cartridges I should buy and where I can get them. My anniversary is coming soon and I would really like to surprise my hubby with this dream toy by then... Any help IS GREATLY appreciated. Thanks! | |

| Post by Mark Hi Heidi and welcome to the forums! The cartridges and caps can be sourced from forum member "Francky1958" He usually offers new and used modelguns in the Buy/Sell modelguns area of the forums. He will help you to get what you need for your husbands new toy _________________ Wanted to buy: MGC Sten MK3....trades?(still) MGC MP40 Marushin MP40 Nakata MP40 TRC MP40 Modelgun manufacturers, past and present:CMC,CAW,Hudson,HWS,LS,MGC(R.I.P. 1960's~2007) Marushin,Marui,Kokusai,Shoei,Tanaka and Western Arms | |

| Hello Heidi, I too can vouch for Francky's great service and honesty. You'll need to ask him for either the Marushin or MGC 7MM caps. The best ones are probably the MGC's but both types work really well. In the (highly unlikely) event of Francky not having any stock, you could also try Bruce at www.bjdsales.com but I think he'll limit sales to 2 boxes only. Good luck, and what a great anniversary gift! | Post by ljerr2 I have to chime in and agree - go with Francky if you can. I get mine from him. If you are in a serious rush or a bind, I can send you some of mine (here in the states). Francky is in Japan, but his service and shipping is really quite fast. Honestly, if I sent some to you regular mail, it wouldn't be much faster than express mail from Francky! | |

| Post by Mark True, it would be a very nice addition to a MGC Thompson. However, I can see that the case in the picture is set up for the semi-auto, long barreled (16") version that we are stuck with here in Washington State. It would be far better to have a shorter case for the 10" barreled, MGC Thompson. Thanks for the link Gatling _________________ Wanted to buy: MGC Sten MK3....trades?(still) MGC MP40 Marushin MP40 Nakata MP40 TRC MP40 Modelgun manufacturers, past and present:CMC,CAW,Hudson,HWS,LS,MGC(R.I.P. 1960's~2007) Marushin,Marui,Kokusai,Shoei,Tanaka and Western Arms | |

| I was just wondering if Heidi managed to locate some caps so that her husband's anniversary gift of the Thompson was a success? Be nice to know that the forum made someone's day! C _________________ Hobby collector of mainly WW2 era uniforms, headgear, field equipment and replica weapons. | |
