As the title suggests, if you were to go on a holiday to buy model guns/look at models you could never dream of affording, where would you end up going?

Model Gun Holiday... Model-gun-store

I think the UNCLE store would be a must for me...

What do the stores contain? What are the prices like?

IT would be fun.  Very Happy

I went to Japan with my family last year, was in Tokyo for 4 days. I purposely made a trip to UNCLE, took the train to the station and walk for about 10 mins before I reached the store. The store is small but it is jam packed with modelguns, classic airsoft guns etc. Due to the lack of space, the modelguns were stacked like sardines it is impossible to check every one of them out. But the store owner didn't mind me 'digging' lol...

The modelguns just made me drool, I ended up didn't buy anything as it will be too hard to export and import them with me, gun items don't seem to mix with airport etc, just don't want to hassle as I travel with young children. The wife and kids went to the shop with me too but due to space constraint they ended up waiting outside during the winter time for a good 30 mins.

I visited the shop not because I want to buy something, I am just curious how a Japanese modelgun shop looks like. UNCLE has a very long history (after MGC) so I thought I would pay them a visit. Was thinking of visiting Tomio at Shoei also but he is outside of the main Tokyo area (in Saitama) therefore we couldn't make it.

UNCLE is a shop you must visit if you go to Tokyo (in Shinjuku) without a doubt.

Price is more expensive compare to others, but they do have very rare models, and they treat them like nothing!!! Especially the handguns with their vintage boxes, stacked up like sardines!!! Without any protection against damage at all, that really made my eye sore...

Sorry didn't take any pic inside the shop as not everyone necessary like their shop photographed, didn't want to offend anyone especially he is kind enough for me to 'dig' around and tolerate with my English question bombardment. Hard to communicate in English as they hardly speak any of it.

Price wise I would say theirs will be about 5% average more expensive compare to others (those still in production) but most you can't compare as they are extinct model no other shop carries those.

I only took one photo outside the shop but I think the one you loaded up is much better than mine.

Cheers.

Very interesting, I think I'll take a holiday there in a few months. Any suggestions on anything else to see?
