| Hey guys,
I have a Beretta Model 92, vintage, Tom Nelson collection gun I can't identify.....It's an Electric drive. Looks like a taser with a big attachment on the front end of this 92. What is it? | |

| Could you provide some photos please? It's possible that it might be an Airsoft model, several of those have electric drive which fires the bbs and operates the slide. Photos would be a great help, the taser like attachment sounds interesting ! _________________ Cerwyn

| Oh, it's definitely an airsoft...It looks like this huge eklectric motor works the guns action, but I have never seen one like this. I'm not an airsoft guy, but I am guessing it's mid to late 1980's | |

| Disclaimer: I don't know much about these and I can't guarantee, that what I write here is correct Marushin actually dabbled in batterypowered airsofts in the 90s, probably as a response to the huge success of Marui's FA-MAS (the first AEG) and their following AEG guns. This Beretta M92 really uses rechargeable batteries to shoot, similar to modern EBB airsoft pistols. It was released in 1994. It's an oddity, very rare as far as I know, but not sought after. Marushin tried to go the electric way once more with an UZI AEG in 1997, but even though this gun is considered a masterpiece by those who own one nowadays, it failed miserably and Marushin never tried out electric airsoft guns again. | |
