| Yes - 7 caps each time you pull the trigger. Does seem a bit excessive, but as Cerwyn has said - I too have been known to go through a box of caps quite quickly on an "auto-firing day"! Makes you wonder how they came up with 7 as the magic number? These cartridges are quite interesting compared to the typical MadMax shell. These look more like a giant version of CAW's triple-cap carts for the SAA pistol. They are made almost exclusively of brass, with the exception of the "primer". They have an internal firing pin and do not use the MadMax's detonators. Heavy brass construction is probably a good idea to contain the pressures of 7 caps igniting simultaneously. They do not look realistic because of this construction, and are VERY HEAVY! However, for the final effect, I think they are worth it. Loading the seven caps (all in a line, one on top of the other) is fairly easy and straight forward. Unloading the spent caps I found to be kind of a pain, but again, worth it in my opinion. Unfortunately, mostly due to weight and design, they seem to be suited for the manual action of the MadMax, but a similar design for a M31 pump action probably wouldn't seem practical. I believe they were designed to be able to just drop right in a MadMax, but I decided to remove my detonators to try them. My thinking was that this would provide a cleaner, straighter shot for the flame effect. It also makes it easier to clean the barrels after firing. I got my CAW carts from our friend Shaz. If you guys want a pic or two, let me know and I'll post some up soon. | |

| Here is some more info on the CAW MadMax brass carts. " /> Here you can see the brass cartridges compared to the Hudson cartridge. Also pictured is the cap loading and unloading tool. It is easy to note that the brass rim is significantly thicker than the typical cartridge dimension, however, they both sit in the barrels to the same depth since the Hudson cart is initially held out slightly due to the contact of the caps and detonators. The brass cartridge has a recess in the end to fit over the 3-prong detonators. Each unloaded cartridge weighs in at a hefty 108g or 3.8oz. | Wooow, that's quite a developement! I'd love to try those, even if this means going through caps at an alarming rate ;-) | |

| Cerwyn is right - my video doesn't do the carts justice. Lots of caps, but a really great effect! Plenty of opportunity to add powder, too if you choose! I've got a new camera now, though! Hope to have better quality images and videos now for future shots! | |

| Hi all, Cerwyn in particular, I've a mad max type sawn off, but it takes real shotgun carts with the middle drilled out to fit the CAW 45 carts. Just wondering if the new CAW ones would fit? Is this cart setup normal? | |

| Hi Huw,There's a good chance they might work for you. The CAW multi-cap shotgun carts use a Centre Fire system with internal cap ignition. They don't need detonator pins mounted in the barrel facing the nose of the cartridge.Send JohnnyV a message here, or at www.plugfirecapgunsuk.com for confirmation.Till later Huw
