Hi Cerwyn!
Yes, the first time I tried them I said "WOW!" There is a noticeable difference in sound, recoil, and of course flash.
Before you try them, I would recommend you get yourself a reinforced extractor
.
I also suggest a reinforced ejector plate.
When I first tried them, I experienced my bolt catch operating prematurely. I wasn't sure why this was happening. Could have been remnants of the 5mm cap ring in the gun, the increased blowback, or possible interference between the cart and bolt stop when feeding. I modified the catch slightly by shortening the "arm" that contacts the mag follower and haven't had the issue since.
The cartridges are anodized aluminum with I believe a stainless steel piston which is specially made to hold a 5mm cap. So every shot is a 5mm + 7mm cap! They are used in conjunction with BWC's "flash" detonator, which is a hollow detonator which I'm sure makes the most of the exposed 5mm cap.
I'll get around to grabbing some pics and get them posted up.
I don't know if they make any other sizes. It seems they generally specialize in the GM7 platform.
