Marushin Beretta M84 not chambering...?

So I picked up a reasonably uncommon Marushin Beretta M84. It came with no cartridges but I already had a couple of packs.

I've sprayed in some silicone oil to make sure everything works but for some reason the gun doesn't go fully into battery when you load a cartridge and sometimes if you load it with the slide locked back and then release the slide it will slamfire the cartridge!!!!

It seems to get less stuck when there is an empty cartridge in there.... anybody have any experience with this modelgun?

Hi vyking

Marushin PFC cartridges rely on the cap being able to slide smoothly inside the cartridge bore while maintaining a good gas seal. Any friction affecting cap movement can stop the model going into battery. Similarly, slam firing can occur too.
Be sure that the cartridge bores are clean and smooth. Apply a smear of Silicone Grease to the caps' edges to lubricate them.
Check too that the Detonator Pin, if removable, is set deep enough in the barrel.
