Hello guys, recently, I received an email from a pal asking if I'd be interested in buying an MGC68 MP40 and an accompanying parts gun. Need I say more? If the complete MP40 works as good as it looks, I'll be very, very happy. The parts gun was advertised as such so I can't complain.
Forum member DOC initially posted a four page MGC MGC68 MP40 instruction sheet but; the instruction material wasn't quite complete. Part #42 is a round, heavy, metal piece that sits at the rear of the lower receiver. A flat piece of thin metal (part # unknown) is shaped something like the letter "W". It has a pin or screw in the center. This piece sits inside the round cup (part#42). I believe that the "plunger system" is stabilized at one end by it's installation into the bolt and the tapered end section is seated on this missing part.
If anyone is able to follow the above perhaps, I'll find out what the part is called. If an extra whatever it is happens to be laying around anyone's house please get in touch. Will pay any reasonable price.
Many Thanks, Chris
