PostSubject: Umarex suppressors   Umarex suppressors Icon_minitimeWed Mar 22, 2017 5:53 pm

Anyone know the legality or availability of the suppressors Umarex makes for their blank guns? Just found out they exist, and I'd love something like that for use in smaller theatres where 9mmPAK is too loud... but I'm worried that the BATF would consider it a real suppressor here in the US. Anyone know anything?

Thanks,
Kevin

I order mine from a German store here :

http://www.schiesssport-buinger.de/shooting/Home

Think they are @ 50 Euro .

As inert pieces of metal I have never had any problems getting them - they work differently to other suppressors and are not " straight through "

They enable you to just about fire your guns indoors cutting the high end bang by @ 40%

I will try and attach piccy of one on my HK USP 9 milly . Also look great on the P99 / P22 / and the newer m & P semi autos .

Thanks. The US is really uptight about suppressors, putting them in the same legal category as fully automatic machine guns... so it's something where I'd have to tread carefully. I did hear back from the BATF and they said it'd be best to have an importer send a sample to their office for evaluation, but of course that requires an importer. And extra money.

Maybe if enough of us ask Maxsell or someone else...
