| HWABS and ABS pistol Barrels and Firing Blocks and Pins have a habit of breaking as many of us will have experienced. My Marushin M9 Dolphin was no exception. At the time, spare parts weren't available which left me with a useless modelgun.Making a new Barrel looked like the only option. A major obstacle, however, was making a barrel that would still vent smoke but would be blocked enough to be tamper proof and incapable of having projectiles fired through it.Aluminium was chosen as a suitable material. The barrel was made in several sections so suitable baffles and a carbon steel rod could be permanently fixed inside and welded together. The new Barrel A new firi The original firing block was showing signs of cracking and the plastic firing pin was worn so a replacement was obviously needed. Again standard Marushin parts weren't available so Aluminium was chosen to make the Block and steel for the firing pin & striker _________________ Cerwyn

| Excellent, did a certain friend of ours make that? how does the gun stand up to a metal Barrel, is it likely something else in the slide will need reinforcement? | |

| Yes Clay' our friend made this for me a long time ago. The aluminium is quite soft so it does mark up a little. So far, the frame's holding out fine but bear in mind I don't fire it very often. _________________ Cerwyn
