I wanted to do a short review about the DENIX Walther PPK.
Well, I have mixed feelings about this model. The first impression is quite good, it looks and feels okay at a weight of 573 g (the magazine alone weighs 82 g). The real one weighs 590 g unloaded.
The magazine has a movable, spring loaded follower.
The cons are the shape of the trigger, which looks a little odd. The trigger has two positions: Slightly set back when the hammer is not cocked and a little more forward with cocked hammer. Sadly it is single action only, so you have to pull back the slide or at least the hammer before you can pull the trigger. And of course it can’t cycle dummy carts.
Markings look okay but are not realistic and the Walther logo is missing. The safety is not movable/not working. There are no further details like an extractor. The muzzle is open, showing a smooth tube.
The finish is a little too shiny, but not too bad. Anyway it may wear off with heavy handling.
Regarding the pros, it looks and feels quite realistic, and of course it is quite cheap.

I have realized that the grips on my model have been painted brown to resemble an early Bakelite type. Not sure who did that as it was pre-owned but it looks quite nice.
