| Hi,
As these cartridges look quite different to the various MGC and Tanio Koba versions, your best bet may be to send Forum member shazhib a PM asking if he can get you some.
He lives in Tokyo and is very helpful with sourcing anything modelgun related. He can arrange shipping direct to you.
As a matter of interest, do these cartridges use 5mm or 7mm caps? _________________ Cerwyn

| Hello
I’ve had a reply from the guy I’m buying it of and he assures me they are the same as the mgc ones , it uses 5 mm caps
I chose this Mac 11 version as it is more modern construction and a nicer finish than the MGC and the markings on the side are exact as per live version . The suppressor is allot too not plastic . There are some good vids on you tube showing the CAW Mac 11 in use .

| Hi,Thanks for your reply. When you do have this model, I'd be interested to see more detailed photos and measurements of the cartridges please. This info would be very useful on our Cartridge Library.Personally I've not seen CAW M11 cartridges. Although they look to be very similar to the MGC Open cartridge, the CAW appear to unscrew, where the MGC do not. It might make cap loading and removal easier possibly? Please see: https://mp40modelguns.forumotion.net/t3391-mgc-mac-11-open-cartridgeThe alloy silencer will be a nice touch _________________ Cerwyn

| Yes I’ll send pics of it all , it’s new and has instructions , I believe it will fit original Cobray Mac 11 .380 mags which I have 2 of . It’s made from modern ABS and alloy , the ABS is impregnated with metal filings for strength , no idea why they don’t make all metal Mac 11s .

| the CAW MAC11s were only released relatively recently. I believe they bought MGCs moulds for the MACs.
All metal modelguns came under strict new regulations in Japan in the mid-late 1970s. Steel was banned. Only Zamac, a zinc alloy could be used but barrels had to be blocked. It was stipulated that the barrels had to be cast with a high carbon steel insert. This prevents tampering and attempts to drill the barrels. Even though Zinc Alloy isn't strong enough to handle the pressures and power of live ammunition, there was that risk that someone would try it.
It became more and more difficult for modelgun manufacturers so they started using ABS plastics. In an attempt to give models a bit more weight, ABS with metal particles was developed. HWABS, Heavy Weight ABS. There are also Super Heavy Weight ABS models but despite being heavy, cold to touch, it's brittle and prone to break. _________________ Cerwyn

| C-Tec do rounds for the CAW M11, i have used them and they work great, speak to shaz on this forum and i am sure he can get them as they are still available, from Japan of course. I dont think CAW are making spare rounds at the moment so C-Tec is it. | |
