Hi banjoe,
The History of MGC is not especially clear at this point as my translation skills aren't as good as i need. Also, there are not very many sources of MGC history outside of Japan.
However, i have seen many all zinc PPK's P38's (man from U.N.C.L.E. versions) as well as 1911A1's etc. That have 11/67, 1911/67 etc. stamped on their slides pertaining to their production dates, i presume. However, these could be design dates not production dates and they might have started making them in 68-69 who knows?
I believe that most of the most popular MGC's where made in this period of the 1960's and most of the best models ceased production in the 1972-78 period due to changing world and Japanese laws and views on firearms possession.
Perhaps, someone else can add to the list..
1. 1911A/67 (all zinc 1911A1)
2. Various Walther P38 versions U.N.C.L.E. etc (all zinc)
3. Walther PPk (all zinc)
4. MP40
5. ??
