Mag release on this MP40 is very slack with minor touch mag wil drop. I see on Mag release button centre is I guess to unscrew to remove and replace the spring?
I have no idea what tool is require since non of my Allen keys fit and would like some guidence

Hi Gebhi,

The mag release button on the mgc mp40 is a press fit/rivet type fit and can not be unscrewed, it can be tapped out if you do it very carefully as to not remove any material and refitted as I have done this so I could put a stronger spring in as these are sometimes very week.

I hope this gives you another way at fixing your issue :-)

Thanks for info although not what I really wanted to hear./ Have no idea how you able to disassemble fixed in-place mech to replace/remove weak spring for stronger.
