Standard Tanaka & Real Look Carts... What's the Difference?

Check the link above. A while back Jay advised me that I should try using these as I had problems with O rings disentegrating. I never bought any as I'd also have to buy the conversion kit for my Glock.

I wonder...what is the difference between the standard Tanaka and real-look carts? I see that the conversion kit consists of a few components but the pic is too small to clearly see exactly what they are. Do these use O rings too?

There is talk on these conversion kits already on the forum if you do a search you will find them (not easy i know with so many posts). I dont think anyone has used one of these kits with success, i know i didnt. The rounds are larget than tanaka rounds and just dont seem to work that well, i ended up going back to the standard rounds.
Everyone has problems with the seals they blow and break practically evrey round you just need to buy a load of spares as i say the coversion did not work for me.
These real look rounds do work fine in other models though

The difference?

The "real look" dont work.

Pretty much as simple as that - I have had poor results with the "real look" cartridges I have bought.

But they LOOK great.

I think the main reason that the "real look" cartridges don't work is that the detonators are incorrectly designed. Also, the springs that come with the "real look" kits are either too weak or too strong for the action to work properly. The main thing is that the Tanaka cartridges work and while they have some problems like the small O-rings etc. they still work...
