Post by Phil Genovese

I'd like to hear from the guys who have experience buying from Hong Kong, Japan and other overseas dealers on this one. While I know the importance of painting the barrels orange, HOW important is it to cover up the trademarks? I have been shipping from Japan to Califirnia for over 7 years. In that time, I have never had an item stopped for trademark issues.

Does Francky send his product with covered up trademarks?

Anyone have some input to share on this subject? When Buying from Asian Overseas Dealers... Icon_eek

Thanks!

Phil

I usually instruct Francky not to paint orange tip. I believe he does not use those stick putty to cover trademarks. He can just use red tape for barrel tip and black tape for trademarks. Of course it's will be at your own risk if US custom decide to hold the pacakage due to those reason. But so far I never had any package open by Custom.

Personally I HATE those stick putty. I was once ordered from Gun and Guy (Hong Kong) and that thing just took forever to take it off cleanly, particularly with recessed markings.
