Yes, in fact the paper modelguns have been discussed before but, i cannot remember in what thread. The goofy thing about some people as well as governments is that they think that they can can stop crime or killing by banning the items used in the commission of the crime. Restrictions never work ban as well have demonstrated that they too fail. Here in the U.S. kids have been detained and had their parents called to the school just because he drew pictures of guns in the hands of soldiers.
Kids have been expelled from school for pointing their fingers like a gun etc. Yet, when there are trouble signs like (before the shootings) in Columbine nothing is done due to other laws/psychiatrists that prevent the really troubled kids from being treated properly.
I can see the day that making any depiction of a firearm being made illegal. After all, Dillinger supposedly escaped from a prison after carving out a fake handgun out of a bar of soap and painting it with some shoe polish..
