I want to take this off because it is making a lot of noise. I don't use sling on this gun therefore making a lot of noise. I follow the instruction booklet but there is no way this thing is coming off. I almost broke the plastic sling housing when doing that when using a screw driver.

Any idea how to take it off? Anyone done that before?

Sorry mate,

I have not yet tried to remove the front sling swivel on any of my model or real AR15's so, I am not at all sure just how to remove the rivits from the swivel assy. I am sure that MGC didn't want the sling swivels falling off when you attach a sling to them. So, I am sure that they are in there really tight. I personally would sooner tape the sling swivel with black tape like special forces would.(field expedient?)
