Hi,
I have MGC MP40, but bolt assembly has been taken off and I don't know how to put it back. Can you tell me how to take it a part without braking it or making any damage to the model.
Thank you, Glenn

Hi Glenn,

And welcome to the forums!

I have already emailed these instructions to you however, I will reproduce them here also..

If they have just removed the bolt assembly
(bolt, spring tubes and spring) well, then the
disssasembly goes this way

1. find the "take-down" knob just under the plastic
forearm and pull it downwards against the spring
pressure and twist it in either direction and it will
lock in the downward position.

2. Pull the trigger and hold it

3. Grab the magazine housing and turn it to the left
and push it away from you at the same time the upper
receiver will seperate from the lower receiver.

4. Insert the bolt and spring assembly if, there is a
small horse-shoe shaped part that falls out of the
lower receiver when the upper receiver is removed
place this part on the spring tube (very few MGC
MP40's have this part)

5. Hold the upper receiver so the barrel is pointing
downwards and the magazine housing pointing left, pull
and hold the trigger.

6. Then, assemble the upper to the lower (with the
bolt handle pointing upwards) pulling the magazine
housing rearwards and then rotate the magazine housing
downwards and release the trigger the sear will find
it's "hole"

7. Twist the take down knob until it snaps down into
it's proper hole in the upper receiver tube.

8. Test the assembly by trying to rotate the upper
receiver to the left if you cannot twist it, it is
locked properly. Then, pull the bolt to the cocked
position and see if it is held by the sear in the open
position.
