I agree 2sharp, everybody should have an MP40... everybody... what a gun!

I had a couple of little problems during filming this one which are resolved now thank God, so I might change this video a little later. I've had to limit it to relatively short bursts but full mags of 30 will churn out now...

I need more smoke too

She'll be chuffed with that mate Thank You!

Next time you're over, we must get some footage of two guns firing at once, twice the noise, twice the smoke, twice the shells, twice the wall and ceiling damage... Twice the Fun!

yep Nice work C&C

BTW you`ll get better results by not holding the magazine , instead place thumb and forefinger around the mag housing ..this way the mag is allowed a little "free movement" and the rounds are a lot less likely to jam .

Hiya DOC,

We've found that the magazine tends to move around a bit too much unless it is held unfortunately

It'll move enough to cause misfeeds and has dropped out before now.

Holding it steady cures the problem and it'll empty a 30rd mag in one burst.

As you say though DOC, it'll be worth experimenting with how to hold the mag and housing till we reach the ideal.

It's an MGC68 mag, but the mag housing seems a bit different to Claymore's example. I can fit Marushin mags in mine, but haven't tried firing with one yet, but Claymore's selection of MGC, VIG, STEN and genuine MP40 mags wouldn't always fit mine when they'd slot in his perfectly.

I'm loathe to try opening up the mag housing a bit to get other mags in because it's in too good a nick

Awesome video Cerwyn and Carol ,

That MP40 looks in totaly superb condition and what a lovely firing - not too fast firing cycle .

Great sound and brilliant to see movement and action from the modelgun !!

You must have put so much time and effort into the video . Many thanks C AND C for another excellent video .

Regards

Carl.

These metal SMGs do sound great don't they? That metallic "Clack" adds so much to the effect

All the recoil effect is genuine, Carol doesn't move about to try simulating anything either, that is the gun moving about.

Maybe pulling the stock into the shoulder a bit harder would reduce it a bit but it looks allright like it is doesn't it? If they were real live rounds blatting off it'd probably shake a bit and climb upwards a fair bit too

ROF is considerably slower than Marushins abs MP40 and probably a better representation of a real one. I'm still intent on modifying my Marushin MP to try getting ROF down to match this if I can.

Thanks for your kind comments everybody, they certainly make the time and effort worth while
