PostSubject: New Garand model, CO2 blowback?   Fri Jun 24, 2011 7:51 pm

I've just been browsing the net a bit and found a gunshop in New Zealand selling a CO2 powered shell ejecting Garand. It looks okay, but the photos are really small, so it's difficult to see too much.

I'm rather intrigued by the CO2 blowback system, sounds like an interesting idea. It's made in Japan, but by whom I've no idea! Anyone have any ideas? It must be quite solid as it's a bit heavier than the real thing at 6.2kgs.

Mods please move this thread if this isn't a new model.

Cheers
Joe

Bazooka Joe,

It may be by Hudson, but cannot tell only by the small photo.
NZ$ 2,500 is equivalent of US$ how much?

It's just over 2000 USD, so it's certainly not cheap.

Slightly larger version:

Marushin did GBB M1 Garand, but without shell ejection.
Maybe this is the next version?

It's a Hudson. Over-priced by 100% 'What a Face'

Current;y retailing at approx. NZ$2500 - marked down from NZ$3500 !! affraid

Here's a Youtube link:

and these two:

The gas bottle is external - and holds standard CO2 cartridges......not my favourite Hudson model. Crying or Very sad
But it is a working modelgun as opposed to an Airsoft BB gun. sunny

Quite rare these days as they were made is very small quantities AND Hudson has gone out of business. Rolling Eyes

Excellent copy of the M1 Garand tho. cheers
