New Garand model, CO2 blowback?

I've just been browsing the net a bit and found a gunshop in New Zealand selling a CO2 powered shell ejecting Garand. It looks okay, but the photos are really small, so it's difficult to see too much.

I'm rather intrigued by the CO2 blowback system, sounds like an interesting idea. It's made in Japan, but by whom I've no idea! Anyone have any ideas? It must be quite solid as it's a bit heavier than the real thing at 6.2kgs.

It's just over 2000 USD, so it's certainly not cheap.

The gas bottle is external - and holds standard CO2 cartridges......not my favourite Hudson model.
But it is a working modelgun as opposed to an Airsoft BB gun.

Quite rare these days as they were made is very small quantities AND Hudson has gone out of business.

Excellent copy of the M1 Garand tho.
