| Spotted this on youtube  Kokusai M29 giving simple cartridge loading guide including Magnesium powder. Shows great muzzle flash effect

| Not sure why the silicon spray was needed and quite a bit at that and that was a lot of mag powder no surprise it flashed. but good vid though. Is that a marushin? i thought the rounds were different on a marushin 44 or has he adapted it for tanaka rounds? | |

Thanks clay' I think I'd searched for Marushin on youtube and found this vid, wouldn't be the first time I made a mistake reading Japanese  Hopefully one of our Japanese members can clarify which manufacturer's M29 this is please:?: You wouldn't think silicone spray would be needed at all in this type of cartridge but I suppose we all use slightly different methods

It's quite possible. Magnesium powder does make a bit of a mess over the cartridges and gun as can be seen in the still photo of the carts towards the end of the video. Warm water from the tap or better still Ultrasonic cleaners make short work of washing the dirt away.This type of cartridge doesn't need lubrication as such but it certainly doesn't do any harm.
