Tokyo Marui P38 Long Barrel PFC

Hi all. I came across this on eBay (of all places) and bought it. It was a speculative buy as I couldn’t find out much about it, other than general comments on this site about the quality not being as good as other pfc makes.

I wasn’t actually sure if it was pfc, but it is. Plastic (including the magazine) with metal parts. The action seems to be in working order. I have not found any images on the ‘net’ of one with a long barrel. I have no carts.

So - does anyone know more about these, and what carts and caps they use?  Indeed, does anyone have a cart or 2?

marui, made their own rounds for this and they are open rounds, they also made their own caps ehich are about 7mm size and very flexable not hard plastic like marushin or mgc caps. I think 7mm marushin or mgc caps will fit but getting any of the caps out of the round is a real pain.
The marui caps are no longer made but the rounds do come up on the Japanese yahoo auction site from time to time, Japane is the only place to find the rounds.
It fires pretty well but as i say the design of the round makes getting the used cap very hard to get out.

this is a link to the yahoo site, however to see it you will need to go through VPN as yahoo Japan cut off Europe from it.
You can see the rounds for it, as i said they come come up on occasion as do the caps, however you cannot  export the caps from Japan which is a pain.

Another forum member advised that browsec could be downloaded for free, so i tried it and it works no charge and i only need it for the yahoo site. once loaded you need to choose an area for a server and it cant be europe, so USA works, its not super fast but it works.
