Has there ever been a version with metal barrels?

I seem to remember that when i first handled one, a looong time ago.. the barrel package was made in metal?

Am i confused or was there ever such a beast??

I like it and want one but i really do not like that plastic barrel..

Any information is greatly appreciated!

I'm sure I've seen a metal barrelled version on modelguns.co.uk before... but I think it was an old secondhand model.
