| If you have 162 cartridges, it better be for a belt-fed machine gun ;-) | |

| Ah that explains the funny look
Being aluminium Id say these are not from any old series modelgun but something very recent and new.
Indeed Aluminium cartridges were used on early CMC guns ( M1s spring to mind ) however they were plain alli and not anodised .

| The history of them is that they were bought some years ago as part of the entire stock of a closing down of a model shop in the USA by the people that sold them to me, My own "best guess" at the moment is that the store purchased some MGC revolver in the 60s-70s and rather than buy the original carts they had these made up. (there are still another 550 available!! ) The length is exactly 28.5mm nose to tip and a 7mm cap sits flush in the end, body diameter as near to 10.8mm as I can measure. If anyone has an early MGC that these may fit, they are welcome to a free pack to try. | |

| Pretty sure they will fit the Metal MGC Colt peacemaker ( the one from late 1970s ) if you see one they are marked "MGC Manufactory"
It used a once piece brass cartridge that measured 10.7 x 30mm the same cartridge also fit the early winchesters too ( although they dont taper like these so these would probably not cycle in the rifle.
The peacemakers used a paper cap so I can guess these were made in the 1980s to use the convenient plastic caps.

| FYI - MGC Winchester 40-44 shells are 30.4mm long, 10.8mm wide (except for rim). For pictures see my review, it shows the latest version and an earlier one - it's probably not the earliest though. | |
