Thanks! I found a 1986/87 issue today on ebay that will be arriving in the near future, so I'll add that one as well. I was in the original Collector's Armoury store in Alexandria, VA back in 1982 and it was awesome to see in person! I was a broke kid but was still able to get 3 repro german badges and my brother bought a P38, which he still has in the box. We used to take it to school for book reports etc and no one would care... sad how times have changed.

Hello Royce, welcome to the Forum

Hello! No, it's okay I understand. I'm so excited to have found a mint 86/87 copy, so I can't wait to be able to share it with the others. One thing I just noticed while going through these two catalogs is the fact that there was no 1:1 scale Mp40 even offered! I'd love to see that 2/3 scale mp40 today though; I bet that is worth some money!
PS: Cerwyn, would you be able to copy the above links to this section (https://mp40modelguns.forumotion.net/t1967-rmi-replica-models-incorporated) on RMI? I will add to the RMI info as I come across more goodies! Thanks!! -Royce

No problem, I'll add the link to the RMI section when I see it.
The only 2:3 scale model MP40 I'm aware of is the "Junior" version. I'll have a search through the Forum's pages about them. As the "Junior" label suggests it was aimed at the children's market as an exclusive toy.

Not that i like to brag but i have 2 of these scaled down mp40's. one is complete and fires (though not got it working really well on full auto yet) the other has a few bits missing. Its a very accurate copy and a great model, never seen any spare mags or parts for it though.

Yes, I'm sure they are really rare! I have been buying & selling on feeBay since 1999 and I have never seen one go up for sale in the US. I did own a 1/4 scale M60, but it was kind of crappy in person, so I sold it. Do you have pics posted on here of them? I'd love to see them.

I just photographed the 1986/87 catalog for anyone interested; that was one of my favorite issues! It is located under my albums on my 'pedal2metal' flickr page; have fun!
You are very welcome! I added some more RMI ads (from 1971) showing how "cheap" the guns were then, and also two stories I found recently, one on RMI's pfc guns and the other a 1968 story on Nakata, which could very well be the first time replica guns are introduced in America! Both stories are in the History section. Enjoy!! -Royce

As promised some Photo's of the mini MP40. Not the best pics done very quickly with my phone but it gives you an idea. the full scale model is a Nakata.

I've always been under the impression the 2/3 scale "Junior" models were made by Marushin too

Indeed brings back old times, I also remember poring over Collectors Armory catalogs back in the 1980s. In addition to CA, RMI... does anyone else remember the similar mail order catalog outfit US Cavalry?
