| hi cerwyn! thanks for the welcome, and the reply! have tried the modelguncollector, he said that he can only supply carts to "customers who buy guns, as carts are often harder to get than the guns" ?! already aware of plugfirecapguns (nice bloke, very obliging) he may be able to get me some have only looked at franckys so far, as would rather try to get them in the uk if poss. many thanks | |

| Glad to be able to help whenever I can Some of the older cartridges are becoming more difficult to obtain these days. As Francky shows them on his current lists it would be an idea to ask John at PFCGUK to get you a few extra for future use. _________________ Cerwyn

| as a matter of interest the image of Francky`s shows them at 9.5 x27 which is the same size marking at the Marushin MP40 shells although M39 shells are bigger than MP40 shells ( longer )

| M39 round on top There is very little in it really and sfc may as well try an MP40 round if he has one ...the only thing that may occur is not enough length of blowback perhaps DOC | |

| Thanks for that Doc I'm sure Francky could verify the actual length of the cartridges he has listed for the M39, it could be the boxes are incorrectly printed (something that has happened before) _________________ Cerwyn

| hi doc, cerwyn, it seems i've sparked quite an interest with this one! thanks again to you both for your help. have found now a few sources for the m39 carts, but nice to know that it could be possible maybe to use mp40 ones also. have found some carts and spare mag now with john at pfcguk, who has been really very helpful indeed (cracking chap, cant recommend him enough!) as have you guys also. certainly know where to come if i have any more questions. many many thanks guys, really apreciate it. | |

| hi cerwyn, many thanks again cerwyn. the modelgun collector did also get back to me to say that they could in fact supply the m39 carts, as they seem to have located a large supply, so think i'll be ok for these carts. there was just one more thing. i bought an mgc mac11 a long time ago now, that never came with any carts. john at pfcguk has offered to convert it to fire the newer closed case carts. (it fires the older open case carts that at the time i bought the gun, i just couldn't find anywhere) though i'm quite happy for him to do this, just wondered if anyone here knew where to get the older open case carts, other than the obvious places that you have already suggested, as i have tried them already! sfc | |

| Great news about the M39 cartridges That was a stroke of luck. As for your MAC11, I have some c.p.type cartridges here that I don't need. I'll send you a PM _________________ Cerwyn

| Latest M39 / MP40 carts from Japan Hope pics show differences. Latest stock, both cart types same length, as printed by Marushin on the box. Japanese web sites say only main difference is the steel insert, ie visible "primer" on MP40 cart, though there is some other subtle differences as shown below in the picture, M39 at top, MP40 below: | |
