| Something quite exciting to be released - so let's start with the less interesting one then ends in a climax Elan's Colt Series 80 firing model - don't know why...supposed Elan (formerly Hobby Fix or Rokken???) makes expensive guns and they looked into the details - but last time their firing plastic-made Series 70 sells with incorrect-sized marking and very sharp corner between the grip & the mag making the looked squarish ...this time Elan corrected the markings but unfortunately the sharp edge remains... Suddenly here we have the Nambu Type 14 Madness...CAW in plastic and here we have Tanaka planning this firing metal version...will it be Hudson Resurrected (releasing this news co-incidentally with Easter's coming?! But of course no release date yet)... Again by Tanaka - something not unexpected because this is Tanaka's trend (i.e. revolver airsoft first then pfc)...but I reckon this will be the largest pfc handgun to date...my 2 wishes: 1) Some HK makers will make a metal kit for it (SD already released metal kit for KSC's P230 pfc) and 2) Have a bigger size cap to match this beast (~10mm)... Inspired by this M500 - wonders if a pfc bazooka is made then should the size of the cap have to be made like a tart (if not pie) ? | |

| This looks good i would like both the metal nambu and the 500 i have fired the 500 airsoft its a grrat looking model but dissapointing when firen as you just get a bit of a woosh sound rather than a crack of the GBB autos but i would still like a modelgun of thsi double cap maybe. | |

| 10mm caps may have been this model's downfall, there isn't anything else able to use 10mm is there so it'd cost KaneCaps a fortune to tool-up to produce them and in low quantities too.7mm caps should be plenty, maybe double capped or something?kharris has been selling old paper caps but they're not guaranteed to be fireable and expensive too. 0.07g charge Hell'sTeeth that's going to make one big Bang. If you've got the old open cartridges, could it be possible to carefully remove the 0.01g charge from 7mm caps, drop 7 of them into a cartridge and use a wad of some sort to hold them in place ? The old paper caps were loaded like that I think, drop a few in then keep them there with a bigger paper cap ..... _________________ Cerwyn

| Tempted with this i must admit but such a big gun needs to have at least a double cap round maybe even triple and it will need some weight to it otherwise it might be a little disappointing as a modelgun. | |

| Shall be 5mm double caps according to the latest issue of Arms Magazine (and the gun shall weigh up to 1200g)... And of course I know making / getting 10mm caps is Mission Impossible - just a crazy wish (as Johnny stated for me) ... Really wish HK's Creation company can make a metal kit especially for this pfc M500 - they's already made metal kits for both Pegasus & shell-firing airsoft something like "Casteopea" forgot the spelling whatever ... Seems Tanaka's a fan of 5mm caps (cannot recall any model using 7mm caps at the moment)... | |

| 5mm always seem to sound louder than 7mm so 2 5mm may well be good for noise levels | |

| This video of Tanaka's S&W M500 was recently posted on youtube. Cartridge design and double cap loading technique is shown towards the closing stages of the video so bear with it.I have to be honest and say how dissappointed I am at the quietness and lack of muzzle effect from this otherwise impressive looking modelgun. It may be the video camera just not picking up sound very well but it's really quiet _________________ Cerwyn

| Well i cant believe that is the actual noise level of the gun as it just sounds like the hammer falling no cap noise at all so i hope that is not what it sounds like as it really is not worth buying, 2 caps must make it louder than that. | |

| Even if the barrel was plugged you'd expect more noise that this, there's got to be something very wrong with this model or his camera _________________ Cerwyn

| Something's seriosly wrong with sound there :-/
Caps should make much more noise. Even if cameras usually have problems picking up the correct volume, in this case there is... nothing :-/ | |

| Don't think it's the camera's fault...it picked up the loading/cocking/unloading sound crystal clear... Come up with some fatal factors for this M500... 1) instead of having the caps near the tip of the round this one's having the caps near the rim...making the smoke difficult to get out from the muzzle (hey this revolver comes with a 8 and 3/8 inch barrel - so what do we expect?); 2) this double-cap design's identical to the M1897 pump gun released earlier...which I reckon both caps cannot perform to their best since instead of the firing pin striking one cap this one's having the pin striking the "carrier" holding both caps hitting the detonator - "indirect strike" in short...anyone having a M1897 may be able to share if the bangs are quieter than usual... 3) indirect cap-striking mechanism: instead of having the good old firing pin on the hammer this one's having it inside the frame...in sequence - the hammer striking the firing pin then striking the primer then striking the cap carrier sending the caps striking the detonator making it bang - too much of an obstacle ...also any slight misalignment between the hammer & the firing pin is bad enough... 4) this gentleman happened to pick up a bad one...buying toy guns is quite a gamble Tanaka better improves on the 2nd lot...having the firing design as simple as possible (one 7mm cap like other Tanaka revolvers will do)... | |

| Seems Tanaka is going to release M500 in 3 inches barrel.
KSC re-produce Colt Kingcobra.
Marushin is re-produce S&W M39/439 in firing version.
