I wasn't sure where to post this but thought the general discussion would do. "Admin feel free to move if i am wrong"

Hello all, i'm Andy from the u.k.
I have been in to replicas of all kinds for many many years and its never got boring Very Happy
My first model gun was a silver model 29 s&w revolver i think made by l.s. back in the mid 80's bought from beatties model shop. "Only old people will remember them" Laughing
In the past i have owned countless types of model guns and blank fire guns . But airsoft came alone and moves to that for the thrill of the hunt. But my real love is how fire arms work and what makes them tick. So since the age of 13 i have been reading and gathering information on the workings of fire arms . But mostly pistols.
And the minute i don't have a defence to buy a model gun so don't sell me one Twisted Evil Smile
I did have a tanaka 226 and a h&k usp 45 model guns in 2204 but they both blow up Shocked Still don't know why they did.
If there's anything you would like to know please feel free to ask .

Welcome to the Forum Andy Very Happy It's always a pleasure to greet a new member.

I'm happy to say that the members here are all a really friendly bunch, always ready to help and advise anyone with any questions they might have.

Tanaka pistols do have a reputation for breaking when fired I'm sorry to say. You're not alone with that particular problem. If you have time, scan through the "Modelgun Problems" and "Reviews" categories, you'll see a few cases of Tanaka models breaking components there.

I hope you'll enjoy being a member here, we'll look forwards to reading your posts and will certainly be here to offer help should you need it.

Cheers for the warm welcome gents. At the minute the sig and usp or in bits in a few boxes, i was a bit peed of when it happened as they where rather expensive. I would love to be able to get them back to full working condition again if i could source the parts. And just have them as wall hangers.

Welcome to forum :-)

I hope you will get better experience in future, Tanaka models are very fragile. Given how expensive those are, I share the feeling. When I had troubles with my first models I was shocked.

Once you get your exemption I hope you can rediscover world of modelguns with more durable ones :-) There is plenty of reviews on our forum, so you can get better idea of how long particular models last.
