| Hi All With the help of a good friend, I wanted to see how nice old MGC / Marushin zinc Saa's could be refinished, guess the case hardened look was what I was after. Started with a worn out 40 year old Marushin SAA: Next it was given a fantastic polish and new grips. Assembled looks great but needs bluing!: The next step :)hours spent on frame case hardened effect, rest straight blued, I am really surprised by how well it came out! shows how good these models really are!

| Like me, I prefer it in silver, the blued is not my passion... Otherwise, really good job !! | |

| That is an amazing polish job - someone really took their time, it is very time consuming to mirror polish pot metal like that.
The blue is nice, well done.
The case hardened part could do with a little brown color in there, I think there is a chemical that can do that color no?
Regardless, nice work,
Pit. | |

| Thanks guys:) Was tempted to leave it silver after the polish... maybe next time:) Pit... Really hard to get the browns on zinc:( trying hard with different dilutions ) to be honest it looks different in every photo, better in the flesh:) Took some at better res in daylight today: | |
