Added this to my growing collection of MP40 modelguns...but there's no manufacturer name or model or any kind of lettering/numbers except "S" on safety notch in receiver...All Zinc except fpr plastic grips/forearm and recoil tube(s)...
Grips are black; forearm halves are black painted brown, with a lot of dust in the paint. Rear sight is solid; leaf does not fold.
This modelgun does not disassemble like real MP40; lower receiver is held to upper by middle screw in lower through tab in upper. Knob at bottom of receiver is solid; does not function (cast that way). Cocking handle is solid also. Magazine is cast Zinc; no follower or spring; cast Zinc base pinned in place. No markings. Magazine housing cast with upper receiver tube. Barrel nut does not turn, pinned in place (?).
No ejector/no provision for ejector. No trunnion.
Bolt is hollow; no extractor, no firing pin, no bolt face (~10mm hole). Receiver cap is one-piece Zinc; ring goes in end of upper receiver tube; 3-piece plastic recoil assembly; lower receiver/trigger group screwed together w/3-screws.
Resting bar cast with barrel; barrel is hollow; front sight hood and muzzle thread protector cast in one piece; grip frame secured with one screw only.
Heavy cast construction; intended as dummy gun/static display only. No way to fire PFC cartridges. Most screws are self-tapping sheet metal screws, not threaded like UNF/UNC. Seams of castings are mostly ground smooth. Finish is good (scratched in places but little wear).
Does anyone recognize who made it???
Thank You!!!
