I took delivery of a well-used MP40 modelgun recently, and I am not sure what it is...It's a PFC mostly Zinc model, with black plastic grips and brown Bakelite 1-piece foregrip...
What is interesting is that the lower receiver (housing the trigger assembly) is all steel...And has German WW II mfg code and waffenampt...
Other steel parts are - Lower receiver + end cap; front sight hood; extractor (two-piece); stock arms + buttplate; chamber insert; and a couple pins & screws
Broken parts are the ejector; cocking handle (which was solid); upper receiver [tube has locking nubs ground off rear]
Missing - bbl crush washer
It was described as a "Nakata" but I can find no maker name anywhere...It also came with what appears to be a Sten gun magazine, possibly a 'real' one...I tried to insert a MP40 magazine in it, but the magazine housing is either too narrow or is a bit warped (it is visually bowed in a bit)...
I'm hoping someone will recognize the parts shown below...And can identify this replica positively...
Sorry about the poor picture quality; my digi-cam is acting up...And PhotoBucket has changed me to the Beta and won't let me go back to "Classic PhotoBucket"...
