1st: collector new to hobby buys EVERYTHING he can find,
2nd: a bit of critical review and selling off junk,
3rd: sell off a lot, leaving only the unique / rare / best / nice / interesting items,
4th: buy carefully chosen pieces,
5th: sell off 95% of items and keep only a few favourites,
6th: discover a new hobby ;-)

Not sure if it's already been posted, but I'm sure you will discover yourself there ;-)

I bought modelguns when I couldn't afford legal guns (MG's + SMG's).

Then when my income increased and I could afford the permit and license I moved into real guns.

So I guess this is phase 6 of your study.

However, I still collect the modelguns I cannot own as live firers.
FG42, MP44 series, M712, MP41, Sterling, Sten, PPsh and many others.

So, maybe this is a phase 6 subsection? Surprised

At the shooting range last weekend.

Hahaha! I'm new to this forum (thanks for existing), and been collecting guitars and toys so far. So I'm also new to collecting guns replicas.
The phase levels are so accurate! I've reached level 6 on guitars and toys and probably at the end of stage 1 gun collecting-wise. Need a lot of reading and googling. This part is very frustrating considering my hunger for this new hobby but also the most exciting!
