I bought it as is, quite impressed with the workmanship to cut down the carry handle and replace with a rail. The maker had used a Kit XM117 and a pre built upper reciever (Black lower reciever and green upper gives this away)
I tried to spray it tan with a friend, but the paint ended up a little thick! so I used paint stripper on the whole thing and started from scratch, unfortunately I didn't manage to get ALL the black base paint off, so it still has some ugly ridges etc, but over all looks quite nice I think.
