£1500 would buy you almost anything you want, even scratch built custom Cap Firing replicas or Blank Firing guns.
Japanese Cap Firers such as MGC68 MP40's can be bought for £400-£500 or Marushin ABS and HWABS models are under £300 brand new now.
First question is what type of replica are you looking for? Are you looking for a gun for Re-enactment use, a gun for display purposes or a gun you can fire indoors without scaring neighbours silly?
