| Hi CliffI'd suspect the all metal MP40 for £180 will be a Spanish made Denix replica. These make decent enough background props or Wall-Hangers but aren't as detailed, accurate or functional as the Marushin model. One detail, for instance, is that the Denix has a dummy magazine, no follower or spring inside it so cartridges can't be loaded. There's no chamber either so cartridges can't be cycled through the Gun.If you want a detailed and accurate replica, that'll field strip as the original, AND fire cap loaded re-useable brass cartridges get the Marushin modelgun. Even though Marushin's is made mainly of ABS or HeavyWeightABS with some Zinc and Steel parts depending what's available now, you do get a reliable and consistent firing shell ejecting model for your moneyIf you intend participating in Re-enacted Battles, a Blank Firing MP40 would be a better option but obviously far more expensive. Blank Firers have the advantage of being louder and fire disposable ammo so you wouldn't have to worry about losing the Marushin's re-useable brass cartridges. For more information on the Denix:Loads more on Marushin's MP40 _________________ Cerwyn

| Cheers cerwyn, I won't be needing a blank firer as it's a mainly static display where the public come and look at the tanks and ask questions about our uniforms and weapons ,so it's nice to cycle a few rounds through them , the weapons that is not the public lol, so maybe the Denix won't stand up to close scrutiny .so yes to sum it up it's mainly a uniform prop Regards, cliff | |

| No problem Cliff,The Denix wouldn't stand up to close scrutiny, the Marushin would be far better. Members of the group I'm a member of have used ABS Marushin MP40s for showing to the public with good effect. Loaded magazines can be shown in situ through the open ejection port, Bolt cocked and ready to fire. Just be sure to load the Marushin cartridges with a used dead cap if you're going to dry-fire a round through it _________________ Cerwyn
