Hmmm, a CMC 1911 eh? There just might be a chance that it is a "blowback" modelgun but certainly not a PFC type it would be a "paper cap" type with the solid brass (with a center hole for the caps) cartridges. The way that you can usually tell if is a paper cap or just a dummy carrtridge display only model is to look at the detonator. If the detonator is just a small pin, it is usually a display only model..If the detonator is a large cylinder that fits the center hole of the cartridge closely then, usually, it would be a "blow-back" model that uses the paper caps. I think that CMC stopped making all zinc handguns before 1972-77 so, i am reasonably sure that they never made a PFC version.
