| My Hudson STEN's zinc bolt face wore out, as zinc is prone to do, so 8ace made me this very neat'n'tidy Steel replacement- _________________ Cerwyn

| As always with 8ace its brilliant work. I get all my zinc bolts adapted with a steel bolt face. | |

| Claymore,
How the steel face attached to a zinc body? I assume it is not glued....

| Shazhib,I believe the steel bolt face is pinned / screwed into the zinc bolt body. _________________ Cerwyn

| Shaz, i think cerwyn is correct but 8ace can advise better on that. I have had the zinc bolt face done for some models as its only the bolt face that gets destroyed the rest of the bolt holds up well, so for those bolts that you can do this type of modification on its worth it but some models dont have enough material to do this and so a full steel bolt is needed.

| It's a much easier repair than a complete replacement bolt.
The metal face is screwed onto the existing zinc bolt together with metal epoxy used to fill any gaps and stop anything coming loose.

Best regards Gecko Hi Gecko,No problem, it's my pleasure to help. The MGC STEN bolts are cast Zinc Alloy, (Zamac)They were designed to use Open cartridges with paper caps originally. Most, probably all by now, of the firing models have been converted to use PFC type cartridges. Most popular being MGC P220 (CP-HW) or KSC 9mm Luger (CP-HW) _________________ Cerwyn
